Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is returning to Boise as part of the 2015-2016 Broadway in Boise series. North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, is thrilled to announce Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody will lead the February 2016 production of Grease as Director and Choreographer respectively.  The power couple starred together in the 1994 Tony®-nominated Broadway revival of Grease for several years, during which the two were married.  NC Theatre's production of Grease runs February 9-14, 2016 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Tonight, October 9, noted orchestrator and conductor Fred Barton will bring the music of Broadway and the American Songbook to the Schimmel Center at Pace University, in American Showstoppers: An Evening of Johnny Mercer. In his seventh concert at Pace, Fred Barton now brings the power of Mercer's music and lyrics front and center, with a 14-piece orchestra and a cast of 16 Broadway singers and dancers, with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson. The cast is headlined by Damon Kirsch, Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams, two time Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Nick Spangler, Tony Nominee Lauren Worsham, and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba.
