The Douglas Morrisson Theatre (DMT) has announced the fifth production in the 2013-2014 'Bare Bones' staged reading series: "GRACE" by Craig Wright, a darkly comic play exploring the changing nature of faith, time and space.

FIDMarseille, which takes place in early July in Southern France, is one of the world's most adventurous film festivals. Under the artistic direction of Jean-Pierre Rehm, it is a showcase for a myriad of groundbreaking documentaries and fiction films that showcase new approaches to reality. Museum of the Moving Image presents FIDMarseille Carte Blanche: A Weekend with Programmer Jean-Pierre Rehm, today and tomorrow, November 23 and 24, 2013. The program features more than a dozen films from established stars of world cinema such as Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Tsai Ming-liang, as well an emerging talents Mati Diop, Miguel Gomes, Marie Voignier, Salome Lamas, and others.

The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) today announced the ambitious performance schedule for January - May 2014. Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook will continue to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. New this year, the opening night concert will befree, in the David Rubenstein Atrium, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. 'Live From Lincoln Center,' the Emmy Award-winning program broadcast nationally on PBS stations, will shoot four of the first week's American Songbook concerts in The Allen Room: by James Naughton, Lawrence Brownlee, Jason Isbell, and Patina Miller. These performances will be broadcast nationally beginning in Spring 2014. In addition, American Songbook concerts taking place in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center will be live-streamed via http://watch.lincolncenter.org.

As part of its In the Salon series, Symphony Space presents the acclaimed Cassatt String Quartet in a program of American-themed pieces, Friday, November 22 at 7:30 pm in the Leonard Nimoy Thalia. The concert, which marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, is a musical exploration of the evolving notion of 'the American Dream,' with Antonin Dvorak's String Quartet No. 12, 'American' (1893) the oldest work on the program.

The Barbican today announced a stellar program of events for spring and summer 2014, pushing the boundaries of all major art forms for its diverse audiences. This new program builds on the most successful year ever for the Barbican, with attendances for events at the Centre exceeding 1 million for the first time, an increase of 36% on 2011/12. In this Olympics year, box office receipts also rose 33%, and the Barbican's commercial income increased by 35%.

Kennedy's untimely death approaches, The Road Company Theater will stage Assassins, an American musical that lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate Presidents of the United States. Bold, sometimes disturbing, and alarmingly funny, the Tony-nominated historical musical with haunting songs by Tony-winning composer Stephen Sondheim explores the dark side of the American experience. Assassins will run tonight, September 12 - September 28 .

Earlier this month, BroadwayWorld reported that Damon Intrabartolo, who wrote the music for BARE, passed away on August 13 in Arizona where he has been living the last few years. He was 39 years old. It was just announced on his memorial Facebook page that a New York memorial will be held on September 30th at Saint Clement's Church (46th Street), and his Los Angeles memorial on September 23rd at Pasadena Playhouse.
