HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, is now in previews and will open on Thursday, June 19. Holler If Ya Hear Me, the world inside Tupac Shakur's music and lyrics, blazes to life in a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in this entertaining and original musical. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century's most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today. Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of The Color Purple at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street on Friday, June 20, 2014 with a Preview tonight, June 19. The show runs through August 3, 2014.

Marking its 10th anniversary this year, San Francisco's adventurous, award-winning theater ensemble Mugwumpin is pleased to announce a series of celebratory performances and special events, including the revival of This is All I Need (2010) and Super:Anti:Reluctant (2006), and the world premiere of Blockbuster Season. Mugwumpin's two remounts will take place at The Costume Shop at A.C.T., today, June 19 - July 13. Blockbuster Season opens in previews at Intersection for the Arts on September 18. Mugwumpin is also proud to announce Luster, a month-long engagement in August with the Asian Art Museum, which has commissioned the company to create a performance installation in collaboration with photographer Pak Han.

American actor Michael Arden will join West End stars Julie Atherton, Lucie Jones and Stuart Matthew Price alongside award-winning Off Broadway writing duo Kerrigan-Lowdermilk to showcase their work at the St. James Studio on Monday 16 June in Kerrigan-Lowdermilk: One (More) Night in London. With a book by Marsha Norman and music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray, the uplifting score features jazz, ragtime, gospel, African music and blues. The Broadway production earned eleven Tony nominations.
