Kimiye Corwin and Anderson Matthews will headline Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' production of 'Twelfth Night' tonight, May 24 through June 16 at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. Both Corwin and Matthews were last seen in SFSTL's production of 'Hamlet' as Ophelia and Polonius, respectively, in 2010. Preview performances are scheduled for May 22-23. Rick Dildine, executive director of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, will direct.

Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey have announced casting for the new NYC production of their play Bill W. and Dr. Bob, about the founding of AA, which begins July 8 at the Soho Playhouse. Seth Gordon (Associate Artistic Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Producer/Director Primary Stages, NYC; director of the acclaimed production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob at the Cleveland Play House in 2010) will direct an ensemble of actors who have garnered acclaim on and off Broadway.

The Caucasian Chalk Circle will begin performances tonight, May 3 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 9. The official opening is Thursday, May 30.

TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, announces that The How and the Why by Sarah Treem (Netflix's House of Cards, HBO's In Treatment), directed by Keira Fromm and starring Janet Ulrich Brooks and Elizabeth Ledo, will be the third production of its 2013-14 season.

Rooftop Films has announced its full feature film slate for 2013, featuring more than 45 outdoor screening of new independent films, including two special sneak preview screenings co-presented with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. On June 8th the two organizations will present a free screening of "Twenty Feet from Stardom," RADiUs-TWC's hit documentary that brings back-up singers to the forefront. Following the screening there will be a live performance by Darlene Love, one of the main subjects of the film. On July 20th, Rooftop and the Academy will partner again to present Cinedigm's "Short Term 12", the feature film debut of Destin Cretton. Cretton was a 2010 Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship winner, and "Short Term 12" went on to win the 2013 SXSW Grand Jury Award in March.

Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus announce the 25th Anniversary Season featuring a full slate of new and challenging works premiering at the Profiles Theatre Complex on North Broadway. The upcoming season features six productions including the Midwest premieres of Wrecks by Neil LaBute, the award-winning play Cock by Mike Bartlett, Hunter Gatherers by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, In God's Hat by Rhett Rossi and Gidion's Knot by Johnna Adams. Additionally, Profiles acclaimed production of Hellcab by Will Kern, one of Chicago theatre's longest running hits, returns for the holiday season. These six productions alternate between Profiles' two venues, The Main Stage at 4139 N. Broadway and The Alley Stage at 4147 N. Broadway.

On February 9 at their annual Gala, Newnan Theatre Company formally accepted the script for 'Flies at the Well,' to be performed in Newnan's historic courthouse. Commissioned author Jeff Bishop was presented with a check by Project Director Caroline Abbey, NTC Board Chairman Peter Poulos, Artistic Director Paul Conroy, and Managing Director Dave Dorrell.

As part of its Fall 2012/Spring 2013 Performing Arts Season, Japan Society presents Seinendan Theater Company and Osaka University's Robot Theater Project, a double bill of one-act plays written and directed by Oriza Hirata. Tonight's, January 4 screening opens the Museum's second annual showcase for inventive, groundbreaking new international cinema, which includes 26 works-feature-length and short films-from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, and the United States: a highly selective group of films that are distinguished by their artistic audacity. All of the feature films, and nearly all of the short films, are New York premieres. The series closes on Sunday, January 13, with a program of short films by Kleber Mendonça Filho, the acclaimed Brazilian director of NEIGBORING SOUNDS.
