(Charles Weldon, Artistic Director; Karen Brown, Executive Director) and Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) will unite in a day-long celebration of the life and works of Tony Award-nominated playwright Leslie Lee. Lee passed away in New York City on January 20, 2014.

Today, The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work announces that it has selected 18 projects from more than 30 innovative artists for its third Summer Residency Lab. This June, as part of an extraordinary laboratory for collaboration, some of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers will unite at the Theatre's campus in West Berkeley for an intense four-week period to live, dine, and create new plays together. Dozens more local and out-of-town actors and directors will join The Ground Floor process, bringing the number of artists involved close to 100.

ROCKY will now begin previews on Thursday, February13, with no performance originally scheduled for tomorrow.

ROCKY, beginning previews February 11 and officially opening on March 13, announces a day-of-performance lottery for Golden Circle seats in the first two rows of Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway, New York, NY). Golden Circle ticketholders will be escorted onto the stage to watch the climatic fight during the final 20 minutes of the performance. Entry to the lottery will begin two hours prior to each performance and the winners will be announced 90 minutes prior to curtain. In honor of 1976, the year in which the Oscar-winning film was released, ROCKYwill offer a $76 ticket to a select number of preview performances. This offer is only available in person at the box office on Friday, December 20th and will be available on a first come first served basis. ROCKY begins previews February 11, 2014 and officially opens on March 13, 2014.
