Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: Two playwrights get their dues at tonight's Mimi Awards, York honors Angela Lansbury, and galas take over New York City!

Sometimes it seems there is so much theater happening that it's difficult to keep track of it all. From personal experience, despite all the datebooks, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops...it's hard to keep everything straight in this wacky business of the show.

Thus, we are happy to present the return of one our most popular features: The Nashville Theater Calendar, a comprehensive - maybe even exhaustive (lord knows we're exhausted from putting it together, gathering all the info from all over the interwebs!) - listing of theatrical openings for the 2015/16 season. Halloween's all done in, there are still three weeks ahead before we officially give thanks, and Christmas - and all its accompanying frenzy and frivolity - is about seven weeks away! Theater companies all over middle Tennessee are showing off their best and brightest, with a number of eagerly anticipated shows opening this weekend and/or continuing from their earlier opening nights and next Tuesday there's a sparkling new Broadway musical swinging through Music City to entertain you…

Rehearsals are underway for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Chicago premiere production of DOMESTICATED, a scandalously entertaining play written and directed by ensemble member Bruce Norris, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Clybourne Park, The Qualms and The Pain and The Itch. Featuring ensemble member Tom Irwin as publicly shamed politician Bill Pulver opposite venerable Chicago actress Mary Beth Fisher, who plays his wife, DOMESTICATED begins previews December 3, 2015 (press performances are December 12 at 3pm and December 15 at 7:30pm; opening night is December 13) and runs through February 7, 2016 in the Downstairs Theatre.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the highly anticipated Chicago premiere production of Annie Baker's The Flick, winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Directed by Dexter Bullard, the cast features Will Allan, Danny McCarthy, Caroline Neff and Travis Turner. The Flick runs February 4 - May 8, 2016 in the Upstairs Theatre. BroadwayWorld is saddened to relay the news that Tony nominee Leon Bibb died on October 23, 2015. He was 93.

The hit comedy whodunit SHEAR MADNESS begins performances tonight, October 22nd, at New World Stages. Opening night is set for November 11th, 2015.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the complete cast for the Chicago premiere of Domesticated, a provocative dark comedy written and directed by ensemble member and Pulitzer Prize-winner Bruce Norris. The cast features ensemble member Tom Irwin and venerable Chicago actress Mary Beth Fisher as a political couple in the midst of a sex scandal. Irwin has been an ensemble member since 1979, having performed in more than 50 Steppenwolf productions including The Grapes of Wrath and The Seafarer. Fisher, a frequent performer at Goodman Theatre, most recently in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, last performed at Steppenwolf in Dead Man's Cell Phone in 2008. Completing the Domesticated cast are Emily Chang, Esteban Andres Cruz, Meighan Gerachis, Rae Gray, Beth Lacke, Millie Langford, Melanie Neilan, Meg Thalken and Karen Woditsch. Four legendary women -- Production Designer Carmen Dillon, Production and Costume Designer Patricia Norris, Art Director and Set Designer Dorothea Holt Redmond and Illustrator Dianne Wager -- will be inducted into the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Hall of Fame at the Guild's 20th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, it was announced today by ADG Council Chairwoman Marcia Hinds and Awards Executive Producer James Pearse Connelly. The ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 31, 2016.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Theater League has announced on-sale dates for individual tickets to the shows in the 2015-16 Broadway at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Center Series. Tickets to ELF, FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL, A RAT PACK CHRISTMAS and RAGTIME, all starting at $29, will go on sale August 25. The on-sale date for JERSEY BOYS will be announced later in the month.

ODC Theater, one of the West Coast's major centers for contemporary dance and performance, announced today its newest class of resident artists: Gerald Casel, Maurya Kerr, Nicole Klaymoon, and the duo of Sheldon B. Smith and Lisa Wymore. The announcement of these five distinguished artists falls on the ten-year anniversary of ODC Dance Commons, whose upstairs Studio B will serve as venue for a one-night-only event offering a rare and candid look into the creative process of the new resident artists. Titled Resident Artists Unplugged, the event takes place Sunday, August 30 at 6pm.
