MCC Theater presents Matt Lauria (NBC's 'Friday Night Lights' & 'Parenthood'), ZOSIA MAMET (HBO's 'Girls', AMC's 'Mad Men'), Lauren Culpepper (Signature's Really Really), David Hull (Broadway's Wicked & How to Succeed...), Evan Jonigkeit (Broadway's High with Kathleen Turner), Kobi Libii (Off-Broadway's CQ/CX), and Aleque Reid (Hair 1st National Tour) in the New York premiere production of Really Reallyby Paul Downs Colaizzo. The production, which marks Colaizzo's New York playwriting debut, is directed by David Cromer, the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes. Kendrick Lamar, Tiesto, & The Avett Brothers to Appear at KANROCKSAS

The heartland's newest major music festival--KANROCKSAS--returns this spring with Kendrick Lamar, Tiësto and The Avett Brothers leading the charge as the first confirmed acts. The two-day festival, set for Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS, will be represented by a diverse gamut of 30+ artists from rock, electronic and hip-hop genres. Look for more talent to be announced in the coming weeks.

Religion and science collide in playwright Catherine Trieschmann's How the World Began, a visceral examination of the way in which we navigate interpersonal relationships involving seemingly irreconcilable beliefs - and just how hard it is to truly listen to one another in an increasingly polarized world. How the World Began runs in the Stiemke Studio from January 16 - February 24, and opens tonight, January 18.

Seventeen-year-old Aaron Stevens stumbles into the aftermath of a five million dollar bank heist gone wrong. Hiding under a canoe, Aaron partially catches the murder of one of the robbers. Through the chaos he sneaks away with the money and heads straight for the closest place of safety, his high school. Terrified, Aaron tells his shocking tale to Amanda Becker, his drama teacher, but it doesn't take long for one of the psychotic robbers to show up. In the locked down school the pair are relentlessly pursued in a quest to get the money back and wipe out the evidence.'

MCC Theater has announced that MCC Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute will direct the world premiere of his new play, Reasons to Be Happy, as part of its 2012-13 Season. Performances of Reasons to Be Happy begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on May 16, 2013 and continue through June 23, 2013. MET MUSEUM PRESENTS Announces Remaining 2012 Events

On Friday, November 30, The Metropolitan Museum of Art will offer a live webcast of the first of five performances of an updated version of the 16th-century Chinese Kunqu opera masterpiece Peony Pavilion that will take place in the Met's Astor Court, the courtyard modeled on a 17th-century Chinese garden. This 70-minute version of the opera has been developed and directed by celebrated composer Tan Dun, with a new score by Mr. Tan and choreography by Huang Doudou, one of China's most prominent dancers. It will be performed by Zhang Jun, one of China's most respected Kunqu performers, and the Shanghai Zhang Jun Art Center Company.

Signal Ensemble Theatre opens the new year with the second production in their Tenth Anniversary 2012-2013 season, the world premiere of Successors, January 26 - March 2, 2013 at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 West Berenice Ave. Successors is written by Signal Ensemble member Jon Steinhagen and is directed by Signal Ensemble member and Co-Artistic Director Ronan Marra.
