Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera gets its NY premiere as it kicks-off the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) this July. Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera has a concept, book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle, music by Michael Teoli, and will be directed by David Alpert (If/ Then), with musical direction by Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages), and choreography by Marc Kimelman (A Bronx Tale). Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera will play at the PTC Performing Space (555 West 42nd St.) from tonight, July 9, through July 16, 2015.

Houston, June 3, 2015— Houston Grand Opera announced at its annual meeting on Tuesday evening that its 2014–15 season sustained the increased attendance and fundraising levels achieved over the previous four years of consistent expansion. During its 60th anniversary season HGO presented eight main-stage productions, as it did in 2013–14, for a total of forty-eight performances.  Attendance matched that of last season while the organization's historic comprehensive campaign raised $172.9 million, beating its $165 million goal.

TheatreSquared (T2) Artistic Director Robert Ford and Executive Director Martin Miller today revealed the lineup for the 2015 Arkansas New Play Festival, Arkansas's premier celebration of new works for the American stage. Museum of the Moving Image and the Future of StoryTelling announced today Sensory Stories, an exhibition that reveals how an emerging group of artists and companies are using innovative digital techniques to change the way audiences experience storytelling. The exhibition, which includes virtual-reality experiences, interactive films, participatory installations, and new touch responsive interfaces, opens today, April 18, 2015, and will be on view through July 26, 2015, at the Museum.
