Chosen from five plays developed during Asolo Rep's 2010 Unplugged new play festival, The Innocents opens on April 15, 2011 as part of the repertory season and in conjunction with the 2011 Unplugged Festival of New Plays. As part of the process, Steven Drukman is working in residence with Asolo Rep to develop the play and bring it to the stage for its World Premiere.

With the world premiere of Laughing Matters in the Goldstein Cabaret, FST officially embarks on the SARASOTA FESTIVAL OF NEW PLAYS. The festival is a dynamic event that gives continued life to the work of emerging playwrights, going beyond producing the world premiere. This year, FST produces the 20th annual festival. American Repertory Theater will present THE BLUE FLOWER by Jim and Ruth Bauer at the Loeb Drama Center December 1, 2010 - January 8, 2011. The production will be directed by Will Pomerantz, with movement by Tom Nelis, and music direction by Mark Rubenstein.

As Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., it opens its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! runs October 22-December 26, 2010 in the Fichandler Stage.

A casting notice just released by AEA reveals that the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise will play its pre-Broadway engagement at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago this spring. Performances are scheduled to begin on April 1, with an opening date of April 9. Rehearsals begin in February in New York City. Last month, White Noise director Sergio Trujillo has suggested the show may be Chicago-bound, telling the Tribune: 'I think we're going to get it up in Chicago...Soon.'

WISHFUL DRINKING, Carrie Fisher's hit stage production of the intoxicating autobiographical tale of her life, comes to HBO as a feature-length documentary. Debuting SUNDAY, DEC. 12 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), the special combines archival footage with her one-woman stage performance, which was taped in June before a live audience.
