Horse Trade Theater Group Presents THE BEACHES 2 THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS, 12/12
By: Lauren Wolman
Beaches 2 will steal your hearts (and souls) with their holiday themed sketch comedy show! God help us, every one. Featuring musical guest, Reggie Watts! The comedy show, presented by Horse Trade Theater Group and Beaches 2, will play at Under St Marks Theater (94 St. Marks Place between 1st and A) Sunday, December 12th @ 7pm. Tickets ($5) are available at the door. They serve beer!
Reggie Watts, hilarious, brilliant, unpredictable - is a staple of the international performance scene. Reggie's improvised musical sets are created on-the-spot using only his formidable voice and a looping machine. No two songs are ever the same. As a solo performer, Reggie has played sold-out runs at Conan O'Brien's Legally Prohibited from Appearing on Television Tour, Fusebox, SXSW, Bonnaroo, Soho Theatre (London), Brian Eno's Luminous Festival at the Sydney Opera House, Montreal Comedy Festival, Vancouver Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot, Sydney Festival, and cities throughout the world. Reggie also received the ECNY Award (2009) and Andy Kaufmann Award (2006) for his brand of innovative stand-up performance. On screen, Reggie has appeared on Conan, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, HBO's The Yes Men Save The World, Comedy Central's Michael and Michael Have Issues, UK's "Funny Or Die", and the PBS' revamped Electric Company. "Sharp, wry and elusive ... Reggie moves seamlessly from skits to songs to off-kilter stand-up, while talking in a subway train full of accents." - New York TimesMEET BEACHES 2:
