Goodman Theatre announces the lineup of its 13th annual New Stages festival-a celebration and discovery of new work by some of the finest established and emerging playwrights.

'It's Love!' Goodman Theatre adds eight performances of Mary Zimmerman's revival of Wonderful Town, extending the show through October 23.

Court Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert, presents the World Premiere of Man in the Ring by Michael Cristofer, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell.

Casting is complete for the three 'developmental productions' featured in Goodman Theatre's 13th annual New Stages festival, a free celebration of new works by some of the country's finest established and emerging playwrights. These three plays, which are staged in repertory with modest production values following three weeks of rehearsal, include Blue Skies Process by Abe Koogler, directed by Henry Wishcamper; Support Group for Men by Ellen Fairey, directed by Kimberly Senior; and The King of Hell's Palace by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig, directed by Tea Alagi. Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman's revival of WONDERFUL TOWN - Leonard Bernstein's classic musical with lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and book by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov, begins tonight, September 10, at the Goodman Theatre.

After 25 years helping to lead Company of Fools, founding member and Core Company Artist Denise Simone will step down from her full-time staff position on October 31, 2016. Simone is leaving to refocus her professional life away from day-to-day management in favor of more artistically focused projects.

Yale Repertory Theatre, celebrating 50 years of daring artists, bold choices, and adventurous audiences, presents the world premiere of Scenes from Court Life, or the whipping boy and his prince by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Mark Wing-Davey, September 30-October 22 at Yale University Theatre (222 York Street). In the striking outdoor setting of the Atrium of the Church of the Transfiguration, the members of Elements Theatre Company bring all of their passionate dedication and expertise to the Bard's riveting portrayal of a kingdom and families torn apart. Press night is Opening night, August 12, 7:00pm guest lecture Dr. Kathryn Moncrief, followed by outdoor performance 8:00pm.

Goodman Theatre Chair Joan Clifford previously announced the Alice will open today, May 18, in conjunction with the Goodman-curated citywide Celebration of Chicago native playwright Lorraine Hansberry (A Raisin in the Sun, The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window, To Be Young, Gifted and Black).

Goodman Theatre announces Broadway stars John Dossett and Douglas Sills will join the cast of War Paint, a new musical starring two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole as Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, respectively. Dossett will portray Tommy Lewis, Miss Arden's husband and chief marketing officer, and Sills will portray the ambitious Harry Fleming, Madame Rubinstein's clubby confidante and faithful ally.

Conceived and Directed by Grammy nominated Producer, Director, Writer, and Composer Bruce Kimmel, L.A. NOW AND THEN, is a new musical revue about the city that was and the city that is.

This year's recipient, of the Bob Fitzsimmons Scholarship is Christian Prato, a senior at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY.  It will be awarded to him on Stage at Westchester Broadway Theatre on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
