Porter Joins Espinosa Solo Debut as Special Guest at Upright Cabaret Starting 12/15

Upright Cabaret producers/hosts Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel proudly present Broadway star and Los Angeles native Eden Espinosa in her first solo effort entitled EDEN ESPINOSA - ME to be directed by Broadway & recording star Billy Porter with Ben Toth taking over Music Direction. During the last month of Wicked's run at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, where she is currently starring as Elphaba, Espinosa will take off the green to perform four solo concerts which will feature a different special guest each night. Special guests T.B.A.

Stage and screen star Kristin Chenoweth, Tony Award winner for 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown,' and Tony Award nominee for originating the role of Glinda the Good Witch in 'Wicked,' will appear in a Valentine's Benefit Concert at Westport Country Playhouse (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) on Saturday, February 7, 8 p.m. A pre-show champagne welcome will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the fundraising event are $100, $150, $250.

Behind the Emerald Curtain, the exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Broadway smash WICKED, will enter its 4th Season this fall. The tour, which lasts 90 minutes and is run by former and current members of the Broadway company, is given every Saturday morning at 10:00am at the Gershwin Theatre (222 W. 51st Street.). Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase on www.Ticketmaster.com/wicked and at the Gershwin Theatre box office. Groups of 20 or more can buy tickets for $23 each.
