Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College launches its 2012-2013 American Classics series with The Ultimate Sounds of Doo-Wop and Street Corner Harmony, a concert of chart-topping artists including Fred Parris and The Satins ('In the Still of the Night'), The Legendary Teenagers ('Why Do Fools Fall in Love'), The Chiffons with original lead singer Judy Mann ('One Fine Day'), The Original Tymes ('So Much In Love'), and Barbara Harris and the Toys ('Lovers Concerto'), hosted by WCBS-FM 101.1's 'Broadway' Bill Lee tonight, November 17 at 8pm. Mies Julie was the hands-down, must-see hit and Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award-winner at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Building upon a rich history of importing standout Edinburgh productions and major international companies to America in recent years, St. Ann's Warehouse (Artistic Director, Susan Feldman; Executive Director, Andrew D. Hamingson) will present this American Premiere (and the Baxter Theatre Centre's American debut), which adapts the August Strindberg classic to post-apartheid South Africa. Performances will take place tonight, November 8 - December 2, marking the official opening of the new St. Ann's Warehouse at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Additional stage credits includeTennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, Stephen Sondheim's Company (which had the first ever African American 'Bobby'), Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus and his farewell duo of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya and Twelfth Night, which transferred to the Brooklyn Academy Of Music and Gypsy on Broadway starring Bernadette Peters.
