During the current pandemic, KPFK Radio's Arts in Review, Los Angeles's longest-running radio showcase on live theater and cabaret, will be airing short plays. The works are being produced by local small theaters and cabarets. The debut production will be Air Repertory Players' original adaptation of Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve, written and directed by Julio Martinez, starring James Greene (Mark Twain), Nick Rogers (Adam) and Irene Arranga (Eve).

Directed by Allegra Libonati, the classic political tragedy will run October 20-28, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of its opening in 1943, Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! (September 7 - October 7) brings together a star-studded cast led by New York actors Blake Price as Curly and Sarah Ellis as Laurey. Joining them are three local actors familiar to STAGES audiences, Zoe Vonder Haar as Aunt Eller, David Sajewich as Jud Fry, and John Flack as Andrew Carnes. Making their STAGES debuts, both Price and Ellis were recently seen in the National Tours of the Tony-Award winning A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER which recently played St. Louis. David Sajewich returns to STAGES where he was seen last summer in SOUTH PACIFIC and in the 2015 production of THE FULL MONTY. Rounding out the cast are longtime STAGES favorites John Flack and Zoe Vonder Haar who collectively have appeared in over 70 STAGES productions and began their relationship with STAGES in 1990 and 1987 respectively.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.

Noted author Ken Bloom joins Kevin to discuss the book. With his trademark hunched shoulders, turned-in stance, and stuttering staccato jazz movement, Fosse was the groundbreaker in the development of choreography for the Broadway musical. The book is a fascinating look at the evolution of the man as a choreographer and director.

Casts for “Theatre In The Park” 2018 five-summer productions to be performed at the Shawnee Mission Park amphitheater have been announced and are beginning their rehearsal periods. “Theatre In The Park” is the nation's largest audience capacity community theater facility.

The Muny announced today that Tony and Grammy Award- winning artist Heather Headley and Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated artist Matthew Morrison will serve as co-hosts for The Muny's historic Centennial Gala show, An Evening with the Stars, May 18, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. at The Muny.

Shakespeare Theatre Company today announces the cast of Lerner and Loewe's multiple Tony Award-winning musical Camelot. Directed by STC Associate Artistic Director Alan Paul (Kiss Me, Kate; Man of La Mancha), the classic musical will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) from May 22 through July 1, concluding STC's 2017-2018 mainstage season.
