Cats is a world wide phenomenon. Premiering in 1981 in the West End, Andrew Lloyd's Webber classic has proven to stand the test of time. In 2019, a Cats film is coming out. This winter in The Netherlands, a new Cats tour by the current West End cast is playing 4 big venues: at the Rai Theater in Amsterdam, Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam, Chasse Theater in Breda and Martiniplaza Theater in Groningen.

Fifteen screenwriters from countries including the U.S., Lebanon, South Africa, Turkey, and the United Kingdom will bring twelve projects to the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab, taking place January 18-23, 2019 at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. The Lab provides an immersive environment that encourages all participants to embrace a spirit of creative risk-taking and collaboration, and imparts vital lessons in the art and craft of screenwriting while building a robust creative community. Through one-on-one story sessions with Creative Advisors, Fellows take part in an artistically rigorous process that facilitates the deep exploration needed to fully realize their material. The Lab is the first step in a year-round continuum of customized creative and tactical support for each project and team.

Last night, Renee Taylor won the annual The United Solo Special Award, which recognizes artists who have made significant recent contributions to solo theatre during the year, for her critically acclaimed autobiographical comedy MY LIFE ON A DIET. Along with Ms. Taylor, this year's nominees included Derek DelGaudio (In & Of Itself), Alison S. M. Kobayashi (Say Something Bunny!), John Lithgow (Stories By Heart), Chita Rivera (An Evening with Chita Rivera) and Bruce Springsteen (Springsteen on Broadway).

 The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) announced today that legendary New Yorker and comedian Jerry Seinfeld will return to the Beacon Theatre in 2019. The shows scheduled for 2019 extend Seinfeld's overwhelmingly successful residency at The Beacon, which began in January 2016 and concluded in December 2017 with 36 sold-out performances. The 2019 dates are as follows: January 11, February 8, March 14, March 15, April 4, April 5, May 3, May 4, June 6 and June 7, with performances at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on all ten nights. Tickets will go on-sale on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (EST).

Global music legend Phil Collins is set to make his long-anticipated return to Australia with his Not Dead Yet: Live! tour, presented by TEG Dainty. Producer Julian Schlossberg announces that Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning writer and actress Renee Taylor - known to millions for her role as Fran Fine's food-obsessed mother, Sylvia, on 'The Nanny' - will return to the New York stage this summer in MY LIFE ON A DIET, an autobiographical comedy written by Ms. Taylor and her late husband Joseph Bologna. Originally directed by Mr. Bologna, MY LIFE ON A DIET will have its New York premiere Off-Broadway at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46 Street, between Ninth & Tenth Aves) beginning Thursday, July 12, 2018.
