BROADWAY SESSIONS is an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday, September 8th, Broadway Sessions is thrilled to welcome cast members from the Tony award winning, box office behemoth, The Lion King.

Disney's The Lion King continues to reign across North American with a sold-out engagement in Minneapolis, which concluded on Sunday, Aug. 7 at the historic Orpheum Theatre.

Disney's The Lion King concluded its second triumphant engagement in Dayton on Sunday, July 3 at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. The four-week return grossed over $5 million at the box office and entertained nearly 68,000 patrons during 32 performances. The award-winning musical's four-week premiere engagement in 2011 played a record-breaking run at The Schuster Center.

Broadway's award-winning best musical, The Lion King, will welcome Derek Smith, Cameron Pow and Adrienne Walker as Scar, Zazu and Nala, respectively, beginning performances Tuesday, July 5.

Minutes after Garry Hynes became the first woman to receive a Tony Award for directing, Julie Taymor became the second.

Disney Theatrical Productions celebrates several 2015 milestones for its hit Broadway productions of The Lion King and Aladdin and the North American touring productions of The Lion King and Newsies.

The Lion King broke the eight-performance-week house records on Broadway and on the North American tour at their respective theatres, The Minskoff Theatre and Chicago's Cadillac Palace, for the week ending December 27, 2015.

Alton Fitzgerald White, who has played the role of 'Mufasa' in Broadway's The Lion King more than 4,000 times, guest stars as Lawrence in tonight's episode of CBS's CODE BLACK titled 'The Son Rises'.

THE LION KING will be featured on the hit CBS drama, CODE BLACK, starring Marcia Gay Harden, in tonight's (Nov. 25, 10:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT) episode on the CBS Television Network.
