Mark Bramble, the American theatre director, author and producer died yesterday (February 20, 2018) at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore following complications related to cardiovascular hypertension according to the physician on call. He was 68 years old. His passing was reported by his long-time business manager and friend, Richard Koenigsberg.

Billie, Malcolm & Yusuf will be directed by award-winning director, Gabrielle Kurlander. The production includes blues and rap music. Chase Brock, the contemporary choreographer behind the Broadway-bound production Be More Chill and the Artistic Director of Brooklyn-based dance company The Chase Brock Experience, announced today that the company will hold its annual gala following a special performance of The Girl with the Alkaline Eyes on Monday, January 7 at 7:00pm. This year's gala will honor Denise Roberts Hurlin, the Founding Director of Dancers Responding to AIDS (a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS), a member of the CBE Advisory Board, and a former company member of Paul Taylor Dance Company.

Previewed last night at a private event at the New York Public Library, The Maurice Sendak Foundation announced that it has commissioned the first major and only full-length stage play adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. This stage adaptation follows a 1984 opera and 2009 film based on the classic children's story. The New Victory Theater (a project of The New 42nd Street), New York City's premier performing arts nonprofit entirely devoted to kids and families, has committed to produce the play, marking its first foray into original production. The creative team for the production is in formation and will be announced at a later date.
