Victor Borge was a Danish comedian, conductor and pianist, affectionately known as The Clown Prince of Denmark, The Unmelancholy Dane, and The Great Dane.



He holds the Guinness Book of Records citation for longest-running one-man show in the history of the theater, with 849 performances on Broadway of his "Comedy in Music," which began in 1952.

Hill Country Community Theatre Announces Its 2019-20 Season

Hill Country Community Theatre Announces Its 2019-20 Season featuring two musicals and three comedies, including two world premieres.  The five productions in the season include the musical comedy "More Senior Moments," a holiday comedy "A Twisted Christmas Carol," the comedy "Ken Ludwig's Moon Over Buffalo," the comedy "The Savannah Sipping Society," and Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical "Carousel."  This marks HCCT's 34th year.

Sam & Dave's 1967 hit single “Soul Man'; the classic radio western “Gunsmoke”; Ritchie Valens' groundbreaking 1958 sensation “La Bamba”; the revolutionary 1968 Broadway musical “Hair”; and Neil Diamond's 1969 “Sweet Caroline,” which became a popular sports anthem, are the newest recordings inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden today named these and 20 other recordings as aural treasures worthy of preservation because of their cultural, historic and aesthetic importance to the nation's recorded sound heritage.
