This virtual production is a remount of Otherworld's first full length production from the spring of 2014, and it has been specifically designed for Otherworld's digital platform. BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Joanne Beretta died July 24, 2020 at New York City's Beth Israel-Mt. Sinai Hospital at age 86. Her death was due to complications from a recent fall. Her dear friend Kathleen Chalfant was at her side when she passed away.

Premiering August 1 and 2 on the streaming platform Broadway On Demand, the new work is adapted and directed by award-winning director and TYA artist Khalia Davis and will be brought to life by an entirely Black and BIPOC cast and creative team from across the United States.

Judith Clurman commissioned Broadway arranger David Chase to arrange folk music for mixed chorus and violin. Chase, who comes from a long line of West Virginians, combined the Appalachian folk traditions together along with musical elements of Sacred Harp singing in the four-movement work, I This Old Hammer, II Pretty Saro, III Down In A Coalmine, and IV Who Will Come and Go With Me.
