Central Florida Community Arts presents their 2019/2020 Summer & Fall Season! Tickets are on sale now for performances by the CFCArts Theatre, Community Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and Children & Youth Arts programs and Orchestra programs. With titles such as A Hero's Journey, presented by the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra, and contemporary musical drama “Next to Normal,” this season promises to be an exhilarating exploration of the human spirit.

Theater Latte Da (TLD) announces the slate of artists and projects for this summer's NEXT FESTIVAL. Three dynamic new works from Isabella Dawis and Tidtaya Sinutoke, Dylan Thomas, Cerys Matthews and Mason Neely , David Simpatico and Michael Holland will each receive workshops and public presentations beginning Saturday, July 6.

The names of 231 contestants in the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition are now available. Those taking part in the first round of the Competition will be 25 musicians each specializing in the Piano, Violin and Cello categories, 60 singers in the vocal category, and 96 contestants in the two new Competition categories, Winds and Brass Instruments, which respectively include 48 woodwind performers and 48 brass performers.

The Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020 has announced the full schedule of competition rounds, concerts, masterclasses, and galas, via livestream from Richmond's WCVE Community Idea Stations. Queer|Art, NYC's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the new Mentors for the 2019-2020 program cycle of Queer|Art|Mentorship (QAM). Applications open May 12th.The Mentorship program is the cornerstone of Queer|Art's activity, providing a platform of support for LGBTQ+ artists focused on creative issues and long-term sustainability of artistic practice. Over the course of a year-long exchange, the program helps to forge new relationships between early-career and established LGBTQ+ artists and curators, bridging professional and social thresholds that often isolate artists by generation and discipline.

In the early hours of February 21, 2005, a utility worker found 21-year-old Inna Budnytska unconscious, naked, beaten and near death, abandoned in an undeveloped Miami cul-de-sac. Budnytska, a guest in a nearby airport hotel, had no memory of her attack and rape. Authorities looked at the hotel's surveillance footage for potential answers, but found puzzling information. The cameras recorded her walking into the lobby at 3:40 a.m. and then never captured her again. In a two-hour documentary, “20/20” reports on the mysterious case and features private investigator Ken Brennan, who meticulously gathered and pieced together clues, discovering how Budnytska left the hotel and tracking down the man whose DNA matched her attacker. “20/20” airs on Friday, April 5 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

Eleanor Lloyd Productions and Rebecca Stafford Productions today announce further tickets for Witness for the Prosecution will go on sale to the general public on Thursday 28 February 2019. The production, which has now surpassed the original West End run in at the Winter Garden Theatre (now the Gillian Lynne Theatre), will be extending into its third year at London's historic County Hall. Eight young opera singers from across Canada have been selected to compete as finalists in the Canadian Opera Company's Ensemble Studio Competition, the feature event of the Centre Stage fundraising gala, taking place November 1, 2018 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Finalists are vying for a series of top prizes, as well as the coveted chance to be considered for a spot in the COC's prestigious Ensemble Studio training program for the 2019/2020 season.

The 2018 winners of the New York International Piano Competition (TheNYIPC), under the auspices of the Stecher & Horowitz Foundation, were announced at an Awards Ceremony at Manhattan School of Music on Friday evening (June 22). Prizes and awards totaling $50,000 were presented.  Robert Sherman served as Master of Ceremonies.  The week-long event began on June 18.

The Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery Has Opened Its Call For Entries To The Fifth Triennial Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. Entries will be accepted now through Sept. 3, 2018, at portraitcompetition.si.edu. Established in 2006, the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition invites artists (who are at least 18 years of age) living and working in the United States to submit one portrait for consideration. Selected artworks are featured in a museum exhibition and some artists are awarded prizes. This year, the competition will focus on broadening the definition of portraiture while highlighting the genre's relevance in contemporary art and culture.

Artistic and Executive Director of Pacific Opera Project (POP) Josh Shaw was recently named 'One of Musical America's Top 30 Innovators in Classical Music.' Over the past six seasons, he has directed 23 productions at POP including THE RAKE'S PROGRESS, ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, and LA CALISTO. His reimagining of THE ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO as an episode of Star Trek has gained national attention and has been produced by seven companies.
