Assembly Festival (1st - 27th August 2018) announced its FULL programme goes on sale at 10am today (Thu 17 May 2018). This year there are 208 shows - 60 theatre acts, 60 comedy shows and the biggest programme of cabaret Assembly Festival has ever staged.

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced that Tony Award nominee Mary Bridget Davies (A Night with Janis Joplin) will bring her electric charm and powerhouse vocals to Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood for one show only on Sunday, May 13, at 7:30pm. Musical direction is by Ryan Sudick.

The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California debut of A Thousand Splendid Suns, Ursula Rani Sarma's sweeping and deeply moving theatrical production based on the best-selling book by Khaled Hosseini (The Kite Runner).

Written by Sam Cassidy, directed by Arlene Phillips, Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus runs until Saturday in concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace. The production is semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece rock band.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the cast for its upcoming production of Blues in the Night.  Conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, the production will feature Yvette Cason (Shout Sister Shout, Broadway and film versions of Dreamgirls), Bryce Charles (The Book of Mormon, ABC's "Black-ish"), Paulette Ivory (Disney's Aida and the West End premieres of The Lion King and Blues in the Night) and Chester Gregory (Broadway's Motown: The Musical, Hairspray and  Sister Act).  Blues in the Night will begin performances April 27 through May 20 in the Lovelace Studio Theater.

The spring season at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center welcomes blues singer Mary Bridget Davies. Ms. Davies burst onto the Broadway scene with her starring role in A Night with Janis Joplin, where in 2014 she was nominated for a Tony Award. Diana Vickers has joined the cast of rock musical Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus to play the female lead character, Eurydice.

Rock musical Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus, directed by Arlene Phillips and written by Sam Cassidy, will have 9 concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace from Saturday 10 - Saturday 17 March 2018. The production will be semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece band.

Mark Kudisch (9 to 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bells Are Ringing, Finding Neverland & a past TACT Guest Artist) has just been added to an already stellar lineup celebrating TACT's 25th anniversary at its 2017 Winter Benefit.

Star of stage and screen, Sandy Duncan, and Raleigh's own, Ira David Wood III will both return to the North Carolina Theatre stage this January in the upcoming production of "Love Letters."
