Set in Baltimore during 1959, DINER follows a circle of childhood friends who confront the realities of adulthood in the one place they know they will always be welcome: the all-night diner. Delaware Theatre Company serves up a musical adaptation of DINER, written by Academy Award-winner Barry Levinson with music and lyrics by nine-time Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow. Directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall.
The Old Globe today shared its 2016 Summer Season, which will feature new and familiar works directed by four major American stalwarts. The season features the welcome return of Steve Martin (Bright Star) with the World Premiere of his new play Meteor Shower, an adult comedy, directed by Gordon Edelstein, in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director. Performing in concert at Leddy Center in Epping, Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:30pm, Epping, NH native, Mary Gatchell, is a dynamic singer, pianist, and composer living in New York City. With four albums to her credit and music video, Shining Star, she has delighted audiences with her velvety voice and alluring charm with a refreshing unique style all her own in legendary clubs such as the Blue Note, Birdland, Bitter End, CBGB's, Knitting Factory, Boston House of Blues, Ryles, and many more. She sang three concerts with the Rolling Stones on their 50th anniversary tour in Brooklyn's Barclays Center and Newark's Prudential Center. Mary studied voice, piano, and oboe at NYU, graduating Magna cum Laude, with a degree in theory and composition.
