MCC Theater welcomes a starry line-up of performers for its annual Miscast gala, held tonight, March 4, 2013 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street).

Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, will begin performances on Monday, March 18, 2013 at New World Stages. The cast includes returning Broadway cast members Rick Holmes, now playing Black Stache, Jason Ralph, now playing Boy, along with Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank, and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles. They are joined by Nicole Lowrance (Molly), Edward Baker-Duly(Lord Aster), Josh Grisetti (Fighting Prawn), Alex Hernandez (Captain Scott), Nate Miller (Ted), Andrew Mueller (Prentiss), Jon Patrick Walker (Mrs. Bumbrake),Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, and Graham Stevens. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street). Tony Winners Blythe Danner, BD Wong and two-time Tony Award nominee S. Epatha Merkerson will share the role of the Stage Manager for this one night benefit.

La Jolla Playhouse will bring back the hilarious The Second City for a return engagement March 20 - 23, 2013 in the Playhouse's specially-designed cabaret-style performance space in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. Created by the Playhouse's scene shop artisans for the theatre's 2011, 2012 and 2013 Galas, this unique cabaret-style venue features a 1920s 'supper club' atmosphere, with multi-level platforms and custom banquettes. Performances will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:00 pm and Saturday at 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm.

La Jolla Playhouse announces a fifth production for its 2013/14 season: the world premiere of The Tallest Tree, a new play with music written and performed by Daniel Beaty (Emergency, Through the Night), directed by Moises Kaufman (I Am My Own Wife, The Laramie Project). A co-production with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Tallest Tree will run in the Playhouse's Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre October 9 - November 3, 2013. The piece is produced in association with Tectonic Theater Project.

The Gexa Energy Broadway at the Hobby Center 2013-2014 season, announced today, brings some of Broadway's biggest hits to Houston.

Miranda Jonte's world premiere play, Greasemonkey, pays homage to her northern Californian roots, and is inspired by the modern day love poetry of Alice Walker, Noel Coward and James Tipton.
