On Monday, October 3, 2022 the multiple Grammy award-winning conductor, JoAnn Falletta, will conduct the Buffalo Philharmonic in their return to Carnegie Hall for a tribute to Lukas Foss, in honor of his 100th birthday (August 15, 1922 – Feb 1, 2009). Presented by Trinity Wall Street and Opus 3 Artists, the 7pm concert is a gift to New York City with free admission.

Montalvo Arts Center begins its new programmatic series SOCIAL: Rethinking Loneliness Together this fall with The Mending Project, an interactive installation featuring thread, color, and sewing as a point of departure to create meaningful connections between strangers. Originally conceived as a gift exchange, an installation that would bring strangers together in conversation, The Mending Project by internationally acclaimed visual artist Lee Mingwei premiered in 2009 at Lombard-Freid Projects in New York and has since been featured at the Venice Biennale among other international exhibitions. Participants are invited to bring an article of clothing to the exhibit, where they meet with a a?oemendera?? who repairs or embellishes the clothing while engaging in conversations, sharing stories, and taking the opportunity to learn more about a stranger.

Known for incorporating iPads, mapping technology, and even a complete fleet of 24 floating drones into its performances, Japanese multimedia dance troupe Elevenplay brings its distinct brand of stunning performance art to San Jose for an exclusive show. Featured in the opening act of Lady Gaga's 2014 world tour, the group has performed extensively across Japan, Europe, and Mexico, and stolen the show on NBC's America's Got Talent, an appearance called incredible and so current by judge Simon Cowell.
