STILL UNTITLED, a new play written by South Florida resident Matt May, based upon stories by Terrance Olear, will receive its world premiere production July 22 - 26, 2009 in Fort Lauderdale. Set backstage on the opening night of Tristan O'Brien's Broadway debut, the play chronicles his reflections on life, love, loss, and perseverance, while coping with the back-to-back deaths of his mother and brother.
A Noise Within, the highly regarded repertory theatre company and a leading force in arts education, presents Summer With Shakespeare, an intensive summer program for ages 10 to 18 on acting, improvisation, voice, speech, movement technique, mask technique, textual analysis, and stage combat. 'Summer With Shakespeare' culminates in a presentation of scenes from the plays of William Shakespeare. The five-week, Mon-Wed-Fri sessions led by professional faculty run from
July 6 to August 8, 2009. 'Sorcerers, Spectres and the Supernatural' is this year's theme, and the selections focus on the wide range of Shakespeare's otherworldly characters -- ghosts, witches, sorcerers, sprites and supernatural forms.

DesiLit presents the third Kriti Festival, a celebration of South Asian and diaspora literature and arts, to be held June 11-14, 2009, at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and Roosevelt University. The four-day Kriti Festival is slated to include participant panels, author readings, writing workshops, publishing and marketing seminars, live performances, and question and answer sessions with literary agents and editors. Desi is a person of South Asian ancestry (living in South Asia or the South Asian diaspora), and kriti is pronounced 'kree-thee.'
