Next up at Kansas City Repertory Theatre is a new production of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning 1983 play 'Fences' at the KC Rep Copaken Theatre in downtown Kansas City with an exceptional cast. Directing 'Fences' is Ron OJ Parson Director/Resident Artist at Court Theatre of Chicago. AC Smith plays Troy Maxxson supported by Alfred Wilson as Troy's best friend and co-worker, Jim Bono.

St. Ann's Warehouse continues its rich history of partnering with the UK's foremost theaters and theater makers, presenting the American Premiere of the National Theatre/Headlong production of Duncan Macmillan's People, Places & Things. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the production was one of last season's must-see shows in the West End, following a hugely successful run at the National. The Actors' Gang presents the U.S. Premiere of HARLEQUINO: ON TO FREEDOM

The Actors' Gang's new musical production of Harlequino: On to Freedom will have its U.S. Premiere in March, as part of the theater's 2017 Spring Season of Justice. Written and directed by Tim Robbins, the new musical combines Commedia dell'Arte, Shakespearean tragedy, live music and sophisticated comedy to produce a dialectic on the meaning of freedom.  The musical had its European Premiere at the Spoleto Festival, in Italy, and it subsequently toured to Shanghai and Beijing where it was censored by government officials.  Harlequino: On to Freedom begins previews Thursday, March 16, opens onSaturday, March 18 and runs through May 6, 2017, at The Actors' Gang Theatre, in Culver City.

The Paul Dresher Ensemble Presents the music theater production Schick Machine September 23-25 on San Francisco's Z Space Main Stage prior to tour. Directed by Rinde Eckert virtuoso percussionist Steven Schick inhabits a fantastical stage filled with huge invented instruments and sound sculptures - including the Hurdy Grande, the Tumbler, the Field of Flowers and the Peacock (a deconstructed pipe organ). After the performance, the audience is invited onstage to engage and explore a kind of audio "maker" sound and visual domain.
