Thrillpeddlers announces their annual Halloween Extravaganza Shocktoberfest 14: Jack the Ripper - An Evening of Horror, Madness, Spanking and Song Commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Jack The Ripper Murders in London. Thrillpeddlers presents its 4th and final preview performance of Shocktoberfest 14 on Sept. 30, the very date that police received the letter that coined the name 'Jack the Ripper' and the case's double-murder occurred.

Minnesota Opera announces its commission of The Shining, a new opera by composer Paul Moravec and librettist Mark Campbell, based on the 1977 best-selling novel by Stephen King. Minnesota Opera will give The Shining its world premiere in May 2016 at Ordway in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre presents Martin McDonagh's acclaimed play THE PILLOWMAN - winner of the 2004 Olivier Award for Best New Play and the 2004-05 New York Drama Critic's Circle Award for Best New Foreign Play - with preview performances beginning October 16 prior to an official press opening of October 20 at T. The Board of Trustees of Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company announced today that Co-Founder and Executive Artistic Director Seema Sueko has accepted the position of Associate Artistic Director of The Pasadena Playhouse. Sueko will assume her new role as of Monday, January 6, 2014.
