The 2011 Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum season was announced today by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. Stellar actors such as Jane Fonda, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis will be featured in plays by Moisés Kaufman, John Lithgow and Morris Panych, respectively, plus works by Lanford Wilson and Theresa Rebeck will be presented in the Taper's 44th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company is perfroming its 34th annual tour with 'Gone Fission, or Alternative Power,' an Operatta for the Street. The rip-roaring production is touring City streets, parks and playgrounds throughout the five boroughs through September 12. The production, free to all New Yorkers, has book, lyrics and direction by Crystal Field and musical score composed by Joseph Vernon Banks.

On Sunday, May 16 at 1 p.m., the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum will present a Terza Domenica Heritage Series event, 'Living Legacies: A Magical Pairing of Poetry and Music.' The event will pair the poetry of Letizia Modica Tuzzolino with the music of Alfred Morena, Sr. Family members will recount stories of the lives of these two talented individuals, and will also tell how they have taken works left behind by their forebears and given them new life in the 21st century.
