Roomful of Blues, the world-renowned, horn-powered, houserocking blues band, will celebrate the March 13th release of their new Alligator Records CD, In A Roomful Of Blues, with a live performance on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at The Iridium in New York. The Rhode Island-based group has been delighting audiences for over 50 years. Blues Music Magazine calls them “the best little big band in the blues.” The group has earned five Grammy Award nominations and a slew of other accolades, including seven Blues Music Awards. Twice, the prestigious DownBeat International Critics Poll selected them as Best Blues Band.

This spring and summer artists at Joe's Pub a?" a program and venue of The Public Theater a?" will shine a light on the breath of Latinx art. This group of artists explore music styles with roots in Mexico, Chile, Cuba, the afrolatino traditions of the Caribbean, and more. Tonight, FOX will air their third live musical production. Following in the footsteps of Grease and A Christmas Story, the network will be presenting Jonathan Larson's Rent, a rock musical that is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera, La boheme. The story follows a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

The Eighth Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring an all-star ensemble of outstanding jazz artists from the Tri-State area comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 7:30 PM. This month NY Madness is proud to co-present a Midterm Mayhem! A Doomsday Cabaret, featuring excerpts from the new musical, 'Red Sky'. Indie Memphis Film Festival is pleased to announce the full slate of films for its 2018 incarnation, spanning from November 1st - 5th, 2018. This year's festival promises to be a very exciting and wildly varied one, featuring five World Premiere screenings and one U.S. Premiere screening, as well as Special Presentations such as CABIN BOY with Chris Elliott in attendance and Barbara Loden's feminist masterpiece WANDA presented by Amy Seimetz (Showtime's “The Girlfriend Experience”), as well as a retrospective of the recent films of filmmaker Hong Sangsoo.

With the kickoff of their co-headline Never-Ending Summer Tour just days away, 311 and The Offspring decided to surprise fans and take each other's signature hits for a spin. 311 recorded a rocking reggae-infused cover of The Offspring classic 'Self Esteem,' while The Offspring injected their signature punk rock energy into a cover of 311 smash 'Down.' 

Attending The Groundlings shows on a Friday or Saturday night, you will sure to hear one of the most rocking bands in Los Angeles or anywhere smoking music is appreciated. The Groundlings Band consists of Larry Treadwell on guitar, Greg Kanaga on drums and musical director Matthew Loren Cohen on keyboards. I managed to lightly twist the arm of Larry to chat with me before rehearsing the next Friday/Saturday show GROUNDLINGS ROAD TRIP PARTY.

City Parks Foundation's SummerStage Can't Miss Hip-Hop and R&B Shows in July

This summer, Craft Recordings is set to relaunch a legendary group of hip-hop titles originally released between 1989 and 1995 on Delicious Vinyl, the Los Angeles-based classic label whose catalog of West Coast party rock and conscious rap still gets play on radio and at functions worldwide. Featuring audio remastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters, these LPs represent some of the most lasting music of the genre.

One evening. Two amazing artists! Jeff Kashiwa is one of the most compelling young saxophonists in contemporary jazz. Having established himself in the 1990's as one of the most diverse saxmen during his decade long tenure with The Rippingtons, Kashiwa's instincts led him to more dynamic endeavors through his solo career. It surprised many when Jeff left the group to venture out on his own, but he had things to say through his own music. Kashiwa now has nine CDs released under his own name and has continued to record as a guest artist with many other artists as well. In 2004, Kashiwa founded The Sax Pack, a trio of saxophone headliners, featuring himself, Steve Cole and Kim Waters. The group released two CDs together and charmed audiences with their Rat Pack style repartee' in tours across the U.S. and abroad. His newest CD, Let It Ride, features a host of the greatest musicians in the world of Contemporary Jazz, including Russ Freeman, David Benoit, Chuck Loeb and Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced today the cast and creative team of the world premiere production of the new musical The Sting, based on the 1973 film, and with book by Bob Martin, music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann & Greg Kotis with Harry Connick, Jr.

Bill Warfield's career as a trumpeter was launched the moment he heard Lew Soloff's immortal solo on the Blood, Sweat & Tears hit 'Spinning Wheel.' 'It just completely knocked me out,' says Warfield, who was 18 at the time and gigging as a pianist, having given up hope of earning a living as a horn player due to dental problems. 'I'd never heard anything like it. I decided at that point that I wanted to play the trumpet again.'

Superstar recording artists Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, N.E.R.D., Charlie Puth, Sia and season 12 winner Chris Blue are set to perform on the live two-hour Today, Dec. 19 season finale (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) of NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series THE VOICE.
