York Theater Company to Host Staged Reading of Erik Ransom's MORE THAN ALL THE WORLD

James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of York Theater Company has announced that as part of its Developmental Reading Series, it will present Erik Ransom's 'More Than All the World' an epic musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II' directed by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') with music direction and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic'). The reading will take place on March 15th at 2PM.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) kicks off a milestone 25th anniversary season with Neil Simon's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Lost in Yonkers, on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 27. Directed by Nick Paone, FPAC's production will be staged at THE BLACK BOX, the company's new home and performance venue, located at 15 West Central Street in downtown Franklin.

Scenic designer, writer and professor, MARJORIE BRADLEY KELLOGG, and costume designer DEBORAH M. DRYDEN are among the 2014 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design and Ms. Dryden was selected to receive the 2014 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design. Ms. Kellogg's award will be presented to her by director Kenny Leon and Ms. Dryden's award will be presented to her by designer David Woolard.

The New York Philharmonic, in collaboration with Juilliard, presents a farewell chamber music recital in honor of Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, longtime Juilliard faculty member who is retiring from Juilliard and the New York Philharmonic at the end of the current season. The concert on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in Alice Tully Hall features Mr. Dicterow with his fellow New York Philharmonic musicians and guests, most of whom also have a strong Juilliard connection, and includes specially selected works by John Corigliano, Korngold, and Dvorak that reflect Mr. Dicterow's career in both New York and Los Angeles.

In 'The Mystery of Irma Vep,' author Charles Ludlam satirizes Gothic romance novels, pulp fiction, and horror movies. But he doesn't stop there. With two actors playing eight different roles and changing costumes thirty-five times, Ludlam is also laughing at the entire craft of theatrical production. The plot is borrowed from Gothic romances such as Daphne de Maurier's 'Rebecca'and Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights,' with fantastic characters from 'penny dreadful' fiction and 'C' rated movies tossed in.

Giant Kehinde Wiley Wallscape in Manhattan to Promote Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum, in conjunction with the opening of its exhibition, Kehinde Wiley/The World Stage: Israel, is trying something new. Its advertising agency, Our Man In Havana (OMIH), has conceived and is overseeing a hand-painted reproduction of a Kehinde Wiley painting as a giant wallscape on the northeast corner of Houston Street and Mott Street in Manhattan. A video documenting the installation will also be created and released online to generate additional awareness for the exhibition.
