The Gish Prize Trust today announced that the inspired Music and Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel, has been selected to receive the 25th annual Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize in recognition of his ongoing achievements as a conductor and an advocate for music education. Established in 1994 through the will of legendary stage and screen actress Lillian Gish, known as the First Lady of Cinema, the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize is one of the most prestigious honors given to artists in the United States and bears one of the largest cash awards, currently valued at approximately $250,000.

Andre Ozim is back on stage this winter at HB Playwrights Theatre, playing Eddie, the 21yr old romantic partner to Sue Belle in the Broadway revival set in the 1950's 'My Sister, My Sister'. Directed by Obie Award Winning Actor Arthur W. French Jr., starring Malinda Logan as Sue Belle.

The son of much-loved Liverpool author Helen Forrester has given an emotional thumbs-up to a new stage sequel to her best-selling tale Twopence To Cross The Mersey.

The world premiere of the new stage play By The Waters Of Liverpool opened at the Liverpool Empire on Wednesday night. The play is the long-awaited sequel to Helen Forrester's much-loved Twopence To Cross The Mersey - it is the first time the book has been brought to life on stage.

The wait is almost over until the premiere of the new stage play By The Waters Of Liverpool opens at the Liverpool Empire in less than two weeks.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the independent, not-for-profit affiliate of SDC, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, today announced unique plans for its 2019 award evening, which will feature original choreographic pieces resulting from a special commissioning program, with the application period now open. SDCF also announced that Victoria Traube would receive a special 'Mr. Abbott' Award at the event, to be held March 25 at the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF).

Actors Co-op Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2017 Best Play, Intimate Theatre for 33 Variations) presents the first show in its 27th Season with the thriller ROPE, written by Patrick Hamilton, directed by Ken Sawyer, produced by Kevin Shewey.  ROPE will preview on Thursday, September 20 at 8pm and will open Friday, September 21 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 29 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. I first saw Paula Stoff perform-oh, years ago¬-in a revue by the Non-Prophet Theatre. They had some fine local talent who were performing very well indeed. But when Paula stepped into the spot-light and sang I swallowed my gum! What in the world was this Broadway talent doing with this tiny company in St. Louis?? Now (as Paula Stoff Dean) she appears in her cabaret debut. I can only say, 'IT'S ABOUT TIME!!

The five plays will receive a total of 17 NNPN RWP productions, with each play seeing at least three distinct productions in a 12-month period.
