Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 10/03 for Salt Lake City
The new Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's play Mrs. Warren's Profession will star Tony Award winner Cherry Jones as 'Kitty Warren' & Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins making her Broadway debut as 'Vivie Warren.' The production will be directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St). The cast will also feature Adam Driver as 'Frank Gardner', Mark Harelik as 'Sir George Crofts', Edward Hibbert as 'Mr. Praed' & Michael Siberry as 'Reverend Samuel Gardner'.
Metropolitan Capital Bank, located at 9 E. Ontario, in association with Nixon Art Associates, Inc., continues its innovative art program, Art Works Chicago, with the installation of a new exhibit featuring works from the Ann Nathan Gallery, specializing in contemporary paintings, sculptures, and artist-made furniture by established and emerging artists in all media. Featuring paintings and sculpture from over 15 artists, the installation will be on display at the Bank through September 22, 2010.

The New York Philharmonic will present The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev on April 21-May 8, 2010. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.
