Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced that the 2012 F*ck!ng Good Plays (festival, III)--ten (10) days of new play readings by nine (9) of today's hottest playwrights--will begin Saturday, December 1 and continue through Monday, December 10. The festival will be presented at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South, between West 11 and Perry Streets).

Margaret Morrison's HOME IN HER HEART will open at Stage Left Studio tonight, October 16 and run through December 17. The play with music originally opened last April as part of Cheryl King's 2012 Left Out Festival.

Fans will have the opportunity to submit a 250 to 500 word essay for consideration. Five finalists will be chosen by the staff of BroadwayWorld.com in consultation with Broadway Records. The stars of the upcoming revival of JEKYLL & HYDE, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and Grammy Award Nominee Deborah Cox (Aida), will host the 4th annual National High School Musical Theater Awards tonight, June 25th at 7:30pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (200 W 45th St). The show will feature 60 of America's most talented young musical theater performers vying for the "Jimmy Award" for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor. Winners will be awarded college scholarships and other prizes will be announced live.

The Traverse will bring together two of Scotland's mos famous playwrights, David Greig and David Harrower, in a special double bill as one of the Theatre's flagship shows for its 2012 Festival Programme this August. The Latino spirit is alive in New Harlem Arts Theatre's upcoming production of 'Sweet Charity,' directed by Julio Agustin, to be presented July 26 to August 19 at CCNY's Aaron Davis Hall, 135th Street and Convent Ave. The characters of the classic sixties musical will be re-envisioned to reflect the changing roles of Latinos in our society while the traditional music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon will be preserved. The 1966 Broadway tuner was originally conceived, staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Director Julio Agustin has tapped choreographer Lainie Munro for the job of nestling his radical new concept into Fosse's formative jazz dances.

As part of the current three-play Royal Court at the Duke of York's Season with Posh by Laura Wade, Jumpy by April De Angelis and Constellations by Nick Payne, four of the UK's leading playwrights will direct one of their all-time favourite plays in a series of one-off afternoon readings from 29 June at the Duke of York's Theatre in a special event supported by The Ambassador Theatre Group. Nick Payne, Polly Stenham, Roy Williams and David Eldridge will select their favourite plays and will have less than two days to bring their vision to life with a full cast to be announced for staged readings on Friday afternoons this summer.

Following its extremely well-received debut in April, the London series of If It Only Even Runs A Minute, celebrating the rare songs and behind-the-scenes tales of short-lived and underappreciated musicals, will return to Clapham North's Landor Theatre on Monday July 9th for its second edition. The concert is presented by Oliver Southgate and Lydia Grant, with Chris Bartlett and Georgia Thomas also returning to comprise the Runs A Minute Ensemble.
