The Country Music Association has announced its new international artist-focused touring series, aptly titled Introducing Nashville, which launches in March of 2019 in Australia and New Zealand featuring Brandy Clark, Devin Dawson, Lindsay Ell and Tenille Townes (Australia leg only) followed by an industry event in Tokyo, Japan including Frankie Ballard. Tickets for Australia and New Zealand are on sale here. 

The 2018 Inaugural NAAP (National Asian Artists Project) Gala took place on December 2nd celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein's groundbreaking musical 'Flower Drum Song'. The Sharks and the Jets are preparing to do battle over their small piece of New York's Upper West Side, while star-crossed lovers Tony and Maria are on a collision course towards tragedy. PinnWorth Productions proudly presents West Side Story, considered one of the all-time greats of Broadway theater. The show comes to Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre for three weekends: Todays, Jan. 5, 12 and 19 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Jan. 6, 13 and 20 at 8 pm.; and Sundays, Jan. 7, 14 and 21 at 2 p.m.

Sixty years ago today, on September 26th, 1957, WEST SIDE STORY opened on Broadway and went on to become one of the best-loved musicals of all time. In honor of its 60th anniversary, watch a selection of scenes from the show below!

This updated retelling of Romeo and Juliet is set in 1950s New York City, yet its themes of racism and hatred of anything deemed "different" ring especially true in today's political climate, sadly. WEST SIDE STORY is a compelling reminder of just how much hatred, prejudice, and ignorance can destroy what we all hold so dear. One of Lyric's most fully realized productions I can think of in recent memory…do yourself a favor and allow the message of this piece to penetrate your heart and mind - for truly great art has the power to influence the world.

Simon Godwin's (Associate Director, London's National Theatre) acclaimed staging of Measure for Measure, William Shakespeare's dark comedy about justice, faith, power, sex and family, will close as scheduled next week, on July 16. Just 15 New York performances remain of the production.

Measure for Measure is the first time Godwin is directing Shakespeare with an American company. The production runs this weekend, June 17, through July 16 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place) in the Brooklyn Cultural District.

'It's all in the way she placed her voice. I like to call it the Kermit the Frog place - the soft palate at the back of the throat, and that's what activates the yodel, the catch, the cry, the growl which are the iconic hallmarks of her singing. Patsy Cline wasn't really a technical singer; this all just came naturally to her, but for me as an actress and technical singer who has to do the show eight times a week, I have to make sure I am singing in a healthy, safe way and understand how to make that happen. So if I place the voice right - if I place it in the 'Patsy place'- it all happens without trying.'

The Belgrade Theatre is preparing to tour to over 20 local Primary Schools across Coventry and Warwickshire with its Theatre-in-Education show, Big School - Room to Grow, which is aiming to reach over 1,500 Year 6 pupils making the transition to Secondary School.

The exhibition, Martin Scorsese, devoted to the director's life, work, and passion for cinema, which opened on December 11, has attracted more than 50,000 visitors to the Museum's galleries and to the comprehensive retrospective of the director's work in its theaters.
