The New Group will presents the world premiere of The Starry Messenger written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan as the first production in its 2009-2010 season. This production plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement from October 26 - December 12 at The New Group @ Theatre Row, with Official Opening Night now set for Monday, November 23 at 8:00 PM. The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Anne Hathaway as Viola. TWELFTH NIGHT will run June 10-July 12 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park with an official press opening on Thursday, June 25 at 8 p.m. Bank of America will return as lead sponsor of Shakespeare in the Park 2009.

THE THEATRE COMPANY @ CAP21 presents a benefit concert of new songs from new musicals. The concert will take place Monday, March 23rd at 7:30pm at CAP21 located on the 6th Floor of 18 West 18th Street, NYC. Tickets are $30 and include a post-show wine reception with the writers and performers. The evening is being directed by Ryan Mekenian with musical direction by J. Oconer Navarro. Proceeds will benefit the New Works program at CAP21.

Opening night is Monday, March 16th at 7:30 pm. Performances will continue through Sunday, April 11th.
