If variety is the spice of life, then get ready for some tasty spices. Like many detectives, Jim Jesson wore many hats. Just when he was hot on a trail, he'd be reassigned, or loaned to a different division. Occasionally frustrated, Jim learned to live with the changes, but longed for the day when he could strike out on his own as a private investigator and choose his cases. "The Next Act" contains twenty detective stories in unusual settings and circumstances, when he was both a police detective and a P.I. Listening to the reader, they include many more stories in "The Next Act" than their first book, "The Case Book of Detective Jim Jesson." Readers asked for different and funny stories and the authors obliged. "Being different is my signature," says Jim, "The humor comes with the 'oddity' of the cases. With ample clues, follow along with us as we try to solve unusual and challenging cases in our career." "The Next Act" is available in both print and ebook format. Book Information: The Next Act Authors: Jim Jesson and Pete Jesson Publisher: Maine Authors Publishing ISBN: 978-1938883491 Published: May 2013 Pages: 150 Genre: Mystery, Detective About The Author: A city street kid, Jim Jesson joined the armed forces at 17, became a cop in two big cities and turned PI with hundreds of interesting and funny stories to tell.

BWW Review: FABULOUS LIPITONES At Theatrical Outfit A Must-See with Humor, Heart
by Matthew Allen - Apr 3, 2013

There are few things that are as quintessentially American as the music of a barber shop quartet. The tight harmonies, the classic songs, and the styrofoam red, white, and blue hats conjure visions of small-town Main Streets and smells of popcorn and apple pie. In the world premiere of John Markus (Emmy-winner for 'The Cosby Show') and Mark St. Germain's ('Freud's Last Session') play with music, 'The Fabulous Lipitones', this slice of nostalgic Americana contrasts with a very modern issue. Directed by Justin Anderson, this delightfully witty play runs through April 21st at Atlanta's Theatrical Outfit, and is a must-see for all theatre fans interested in highly entertaining new work.
