The Producers of the worldwide smash WICKED announced casting for the 2nd North American Tour today. The role of Elphaba will be played by Marcie Dodd and the role of Glinda will be played by Helene Yorke. ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway is a new documentary film by Dori Berinstein that follows the productions of four of Broadway's biggest shows during the 2003-2004 season. The film will debut on DVD with all new special features on October 16 from Genius Products and Liberation Entertainment at a suggested SRP of $28.95.

The creative and production team behind the Columbia Stages production of The Wild Party has been announced. The show, which features music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, as well as book by LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe based on a poem by Joseph Moncure March, will run at the Theatre at Riverside Church, at 91 Claremont Ave, April 18-22.

Veteran stage, screen and television star John Rubinstein is announced to play The Wizard in the new Los Angeles production of WICKED, which begins performances on February 10, 2007, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Rubinstein joins stars Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty, who play Elphaba and Glinda, and Carol Kane, who plays Madame Morrible. Kane appeared in the role during the sold out engagement of WICKED at the Pantages Theatre last summer, and then went on to play the part on Broadway.

For the week ending December 31, 2006, WICKED, the musical that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, once again set a new record for the highest grossing week in Broadway history with a weekly box office take of $1,800,310.
