A world premiere from ENO's composer-in-residence Ryan Wigglesworth, The Winter's Tale a compelling new interpretation of Shakespeare’s tale of love, loss and reconciliation.
This new work will be directed by Olivier Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear, who brings his considerable Shakespearean experience (the National Theatre's Hamlet and Iago) to the production.
The stellar cast includes three international singers whose careers were nurtured by ENO: Iain Paterson, Sophie Bevan and Leigh Melrose. They are joined by former ENO Harewood Artist Anthony Gregory and company favourite mezzo-soprano Susan Bickley. Ryan Wigglesworth also conducts.

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) has announced its 2017 summer offerings, two beloved comedies and a kick-off celebration. The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord (April 14-May 7, 2017) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks. Rene Moreno will return to direct Native Gardens (June 2- 25, 2017). Sunday in the Park With George (July 28-August 20, 2017) will be directed by Terry Martin, with Musical Direction by Jeff Lankov.
LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2016-2017 season with the world premiere of THE HARVEST, by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum. THE HARVEST, whose cast will feature Gideon Glick, Scott Jaeck, Leah Karpel, Madeleine Martin, Peter Mark Kendall, Christopher Sears, and Zoe Winters, will begin performances Saturday, October 8th, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 20th at the Claire Tow Theater.
