Tood, Weetsie and Sybil the brides of rural Louisiana during 1943. Each young lady married one of the Cliffert brothers. The brothers currently off at war in which a local news story written about the wives left at home in Louisiana keeping the home fires burning intrigued the attention of Henry Luce. In which he decides that this story would make a perfect cover for Life Magazine. Kate Miller is assigned to the story. Kate has been focused on the way in Europe, though she is surprised to be asked to cover this story. “A woman’s piece”, something that Kate Miller had no interest in doing. Feeling that this would be a set-back in her career at Life Magazine, but she decides to accept the story as this will be her first cover story. Kate Miller is sent down to Sterlington, Louisiana to spend a week with the Cliffert women in her sophisticated New York attitude allows way for the sympathetic feelings as she begins to learn the background that this family holds near and dear to their heart. Kate comes face-to-face with her own powerlessness within a man’s world. The Cover of Life is filled with 1943 charm in today’s world. This show is deeply filled with an affecting story that will bring such struggle and self-worth to life and the realization that life can bring such bumps along the dirt road.

The Gaslight Anthem has unveiled further plans commemorating the 10th anniversary of their landmark second studio album, THE '59 SOUND. The New Jersey-based rock 'n' roll band will mark the momentous occasion with the release of THE '59 SOUND SESSIONS, a new companion to the classic LP featuring nine rare and previously unreleased songs as well an all-new 60-page booklet. THE '59 SOUND SESSIONS will be available digitally and physically as CD, LP, and Limited Deluxe Photobook LP via SideOneDummy Records on Friday, June 15.

Eric Thomas, from May 2 to20, 2018. Mrs.Harrison is the third and final show of the season that celebrated Azuka's commitment to notable Philadelphia playwrights and unique Philadelphia voices. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum directs this suspenseful dark comedy and drama about two women, one story and their very different memories about their relationship in college. A Life To Live, featuring former members of From Ashes To New, have released their emotionally impactful tribute video to Chester Bennington with a cover of Linkin Park's song 'One More Light'. The band, who had been working on the video since January, were waiting for the right time to release it. The one year anniversary of Linkin Park's album, One More Light is on May 19th and they felt this would be an appropriate time for the video's release. The band is currently writing their first independent LP with producer Rick Lander (Flaw, Dead Horse Trauma). The yet-to-be-titled LP is expected to surface later this year, but you can count on new material emerging as we progress through 2018.

From May 4 through August 5, 2018 the Art Institute of Chicago will present an exhibition showcasing the works of Ivan Albright (1897-1983) and highlighting a subject that captivated the artist throughout his career - human flesh. Albright first announced this theme in his 1928 painting, Flesh, and urged himself to "make flesh more like flesh than ever has been made before; make flesh close, close, and closer, until you feel it." On the 100th year anniversary of Albright's premier at the Art Institute, the exhibition will feature more than 30 works from the museum's collections and present a focused retrospective of Albright's enduring masterpieces.
