The Public Theater announced the dates today for the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. AS YOU LIKE IT, directed by Daniel Sullivan, will begin previews on Tuesday, June 5 and continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30. Continuing its reinvigoration, The Pearl Theatre Company has signed a 20-year lease on 555 West 42nd Street, the venue recently vacated by Signature Theatre Company, J.R. Sullivan, The Pearl's Artistic Director, announced today. The Pearl will inaugurate its permanent home with its 29th season, beginning this fall. Denham Wolf, a firm specializing in providing real estate services to cultural and other nonprofit organizations, served as The Pearl's broker and consultant in this transaction.
