East West Players (EWP), the nation's premier Asian American theatre, continues its 44th season, themed Art Is..., with the west coast premiere of PO BOY TANGO, by Kenneth Lin. This production will be directed by the artistic director of The Chance Theater in Orange County, Oanh Nguyen. Twelve early-career directors and designers have been selected for the 2009 NEA/TCG Career Development Programs for Theatre Directors and Designers. The recipients were chosen by an independent, national selection panel composed of theatre professionals. These programs are administered by TCG, in association with the National Endowment for the Arts, with major support from The Ford Foundation.

The Philanthropist star Matthew Broderick and Sex in the City comedic ace Sarah Jessica Parker, welcomed twin girls on Monday, June 22nd. The surrogate birth comes a few weeks ahead of schedule, but the babies are reportedly healthy. The news was announced this morning by Barbara Walters on 'The View'.
