Colbert grilled the actor on the issue of terrorism, and even asked the Broadway vet if his character ever feels like bursting out into lyrics from the classic musical Gypsy; 'Don't tell me not to live, just sit and putter.' Broadway favorite Mandy Patinkin will be back on the small screen this year, as the will return to Showtime's 'Homeland' for the second season. Patinkin recently told the Telegraph that he is very thankful for the role. He revealed: "I'm in a constant state of gratitude. I don't quite understand why I have been given this gift. And I don't know what else I could wish for."

REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." REBECCA will open on Broadway Sunday, November 18 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Previews will begin Tuesday, October 30.

Australia's preeminent musical theatre and opera star Anthony Warlow will make his Broadway debut as billionaire Daddy Warbucks in the new production of ANNIE, the Tony Award-winning classic musical. Today in 1991, The Secret Garden opened at the St. James Theatre, where it ran for 709 performances.The Secret Garden is a musical based on the 1911 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The musical's book and lyrics are by Marsha Norman, with music by Lucy Simon. Directed by Susan H. Schulman with choreography by Michael Lichtefeld, the cast featured Daisy Eagan, Mandy Patinkin, and Rebecca Luker. It won the 1991 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical, Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Daisy Eagan), and Best Scenic Design (Heidi Landesman).
