HERE presents the world premiere of The Reception, a HERE Resident Artist Production, as part of its 2016-2017 producing season. The Reception will have 10 performances, tonight, June 14, through June 24, at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

This year's Traverse Festival programme presents eight world premieres, three European premieres and five Scottish premieres, among them a record five Traverse Theatre Company productions. In this, the 70th anniversary year of the Edinburgh Festival, the Traverse is proud to deliver its mission of championing international creative talent and programming urgent and diverse work, placing powerful contemporary theatre at the heart of cultural life.

WHITE WAVE presents our 2nd Annual SoloDuo Dance Festival featuring 24 dancemakers from the New York Metro area, from across the U.S., as well as from Canada, France, Italy and Korea. Selected by a panel of distinguished presenters and dance artists in New York, talented rising national and international dancemakers will appear in this year's festival. 2017 SoloDuo Festival will take place at DIXON PLACE, located at 161A Chrystie Street, New York City 10002.

Performances begin TONIGHT for the New York premiere of Attack of the Elvis Impersonators, the zany new musical that will leave you howling for more, with book, music and lyrics by Lory Lazarus, at The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues). Opening Night is Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 8:00 p.m.

The Dance in Film nominations for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today at a reception at The Lambs Club. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered films that opened during the 2016-2017 theater season.

Looking to the month ahead Shadowbox Live is in final preparation for The Best of Shadowbox Live 2017.  Opening Thursday, June 8 a 7:30pm, and running Fridays at 7:30 and Saturdays a 7:30 and 10:30 through August 26th, this show features the best sketch comedy and rock 'n' roll from our past year.  Content is taken from Spring 2016's Scandalous, Fall 2016's The Shadow Zone, and Winter 2017's Body Heat.   Filling the time slot of 10:30 Fridays, Shadowbox Live will perform a one-hour version of the show called The Best of Shadowbox Live 2017 NIGHTCAP. 

ArtsWest Artistic Director Mathew Wright has announced his third season, running September 2017 through July 2018. Opening with Pulitzer Prize-winner Ayad Akhtar's THE WHO AND THE WHAT, the six-production season will feature five Seattle premieres and a Tony-award winning musical.

Shakespeare's raucous comedy The Taming of the Shrew opens Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park 2017 season on June 1st.

SPACE on Ryder Farm, the non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 200 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York announced its 2017 season for The Working Farm, Family Residency, Creative Solutions Symposium and Artistic Residency programs at The Players Club. In attendance were Greg Hildreth, Vella Lovell, and Colby Minifie, as well as 2017 SPACE residents Dave Malloy, Eliza Bent, and Cusi Cram. Scroll down for photos!

The CW presents its 2017-18 primetime schedule to advertisers, affiliates, and national media today at the New York City Center in New York City, with the multi-platinum, multi-Grammy Award-winning rock band Muse opening the show with the worldwide debut performance of their new single, "Dig Down."

SPACE on Ryder Farm, the non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 221 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, NY, announces its 2017 season, which will support artists, activists and changemakers through its residency programs: The Working Farm, Family Residency, Creative Solutions Symposium, Creative Residency, Institutional Residency and inaugural Film Lab and Playwriting Mentorship Residency.

The Lortel Awards will be presented tonight, May 7, 2017 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will be hosted by actor and comedian, Taran Killam, and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.
