Hub Theatre Company Of Boston presents Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST

Hub Theatre Company of Boston will kick off its highly anticipated sixth season with the Pulitzer Prize nominated play TRUE WEST by the late Sam Shepard, directed by Daniel Bourque, starring Bob Mussett, Victor Shopov, Robert Orzalli and Maureen Adduci. The show runs Friday, April 13 through Saturday, April 28, 2018 at First Church Boston, 66 Marlborough Street in Boston's Back Bay.  Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 5 pm. All performances are "Pay-What-You-Can."  Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected at each performance for local charities. The Sunday Los Angeles Times headlined Miranda Spigener-Sapon's first time stage adaptation of the award-winning Coffee with John as a must see night of music and theatre where #LoveDefiesSpaceTime. It is a sci-fi story about love that defies the space time continuum. A young journalist from the romantic era of John Keats and his literary circle passes through a portal in time, traveling to the present day and falls in love with a young literary professor. The journalist is played by the critically acclaimed/award-winner Ross John Gosla and the young professor by multiple ACTRA Award nominee Michelle Boback.

San Francisco Arts Education Project presents CARNIVAL

Emily Keeler, San Francisco Arts Education's Artistic Director, announced today that the San Francisco Arts Education Project's 2017 production is the classic Broadway musical Carnival, which introduced the song "Love Makes the World Go 'Round." A troupe of 43 young people, ages 9 to 14, revive this Broadway musical gem from 1961 with a book by Michael Stewart (Bye Bye Birdie, Hello, Dolly!, 42nd Street) and a score by Bob Merrill (Funny Girl, Sugar) and based on the 1953 film Lili starring Leslie Caron.
