Recently honored with a 2017 Equity Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Solo Performance, celebrated Chicago actress Linda Reiter reprises her role as matriarch Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy in this intimate piece directed by Steve Scott. ROSE will play January 12 March 11, 2018 at the Greenhouse Theater Center (Downstairs Main Stage), 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of the Obie Award-winning play You Got Older, written by Clare Barron and directed by Jonathan Berry. Dear Readers, it's been quite a year and, hopefully, we've come through it unscathed. God knows we've needed some shows to help us escape and others to make us think. But through it all we've had several shows that have proven to shine as some of the best of the year. Out of all the shows I was fortunate enough to see this year, I've selected a few that stood out. Here are those stand outs, a few honorable mentions and a few special mentions about which I just couldn't help myself but to mention in their own special way.

Jersey Shore legend RICHIE 'LaBAMBA' ROSENBERG, a late-night TV fixture for 25 years as a horn section mainstay in Conan O'Brien's Basic Cable Band, returns to his roots to lead LaBAMBA'S BIG BAND & FRIENDS, Featuring Special Guest GARY U.S. BONDS, as the headline attraction of 'Bob's Birthday Bash,' the main event of LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST for its 18thanniversary edition, with a goal of topping last year's record-breaking $555,000 raised in its ongoing battle against Parkinson's disease

Robinson. Regan, who was encouraged by former Artistic Director Martha Lavey to write this show, was most recently seen on the Steppenwolf stage in The Herd, Tribes, and Good People.

Niegel Smith, Artistic Director and Carol Ostrow, Producing Director of The Flea Theater proudly announce the slate for their spring season, which will feature three world premieres, the return of its late-night series Serials, as well as new programming Cereals, plays for younger audiences and Flea Fridays, an immersive weekend cabaret.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Royal Court Theatre's production of The Children, the new play by Olivier Award winner Lucy Kirkwood (Chimerica), directed by James MacDonald (Top Girls at MTC), opens tonight, December 12, at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

An extra week of performances has been added today to the world premiere of Girls & Boys, written by Dennis Kelly and directed by Lyndsey Turner. The production will be running from Thursday 8 February 2018 - Saturday 17 March 2018. Girls & Boys, which sees Carey Mulligan playing the role of Women, runs in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs with press performances on Wednesday 14 February at 7pm and Thursday 15 February at 7pm. Reviews are embargoed until 11.59pm on Thursday 15 February 2018.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) is proud to produce the world premiere of The Burn, written by Chicago playwright Philip Dawkins and directed by Devon de Mayo. SYA presents this new play as part of their season which asks, 'When does a lie become the truth?'
