After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The Greenbrier Valley Theater (GVT) have announced GVT Play Fest, a community theatre festival showcasing the talents of writers and theatre members in the community.

Following the success of her Sense and Sensibility at the Folger Theatre in 2016, Wall Street Journal's Playwright of the Year 2017 Kate Hamill, returns to D.C. with her adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel Vanity Fair. Hamill's vibrant and colorful tale about society's foibles is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Directed by Jessica Stone and featuring Rebekah Brockman as Becky Sharp, the production will run at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from February 26 through March 31, 2019.

Mansfield Park runs November 8 - December 16, 2018 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The press opening is scheduled for Today, November 16, 2018 at 8pm.

Artists Repertory Theatre presents Everybody, by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama. The production is co-directed by Jessica Wallenfels and Damaso Rodriguez, and is an inventive twist on a medieval morality play. Everybody runs from November 25 through December 30 on the Alder Stage.

Bucks County Playhouse's Storytelling Series continues this month and features Jamie Beth Cohan, a Washington Post writer, Rory Scholl, the producer of The Liar Show and James Braly, a two-time winner of The Moth GrandSlam. Principle takes the audience on a thought-provoking journey on education and justice through a drama created by the differences between a new school principal who wants everything to be carried out by the books and a veteran vice principal who believes that discretions should be exercised on compassionate grounds. Written by Ivan Kwok, Principle was nominated the Best Script at The Hong Kong Theatre Libre when it was premiered in 2017. This current 2018 production will be directed by Fong Chun Kit and a new cast including Lui Si Lan, Ko Hon Man, Chris Sun, Wong Suet Ip and Poon Tai Ming, to be performed at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre from 9 - 25 November with tickets available at URBTIX.

The Bay Area Theatre Company opens One Googol and One by Aidaa Peerzada on Friday  December 7 (preview Dec. 6th) running through December 22 2018 at Brava Theater Center. One Googol and One is a play about historical injustices and how each of our stories from the past shape our modern identities. Set in different times and places the production takes on various mediums of dialogue through contemporary verse (spoken word), classical verse, and naturalistic dialogue.

The Philadelphia Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage for three concerts this season under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut with the Orchestra. Award winning EMH Productions continues its seventh season of provocative and compelling theatre with the Sacramento premiere of Inversion by up and coming writer Aditya Putcha. A five-character modern day dramedy, this play made its debut at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2017 at the Sacred Fools Theatre. This timely 90 minute play delves into the world of dating, treatment of women as sex objects, the dynamics of relationships between men and women, along with testing our understanding of what it means to truly care for one another. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that actor and comedian Jim Carrey and British actress Emilia Clarke will be honored at the 2018 British Academy Britannia Awards. Carrey will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, while Clarke will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.
