San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English & Producing Director Susi Damilano) concludes its provocative eleventh season with Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and James Lapine (book). The production runs today, June 24th to September 6th, 2014, with an official opening set for June 28.

Musical theatre performers MARY LOU BARBER, EDWARD PLEASANT and BEN RAUCH will be performing dramatic readings of excerpts from The Very Reverend James Parks Morton's forthcoming memoir at the 12th Annual James Parks Morton Interfaith Awards gala tonight, June 5 at the New York Hilton Midtown. This is the first time in the history of the Interfaith Center of New York (ICNY) awards dinner that a theatrical event has been presented.

Broadway Designer Mark Adam Rampmeyer Becomes Head of Goodspeed's Costume Collection

Goodspeed Musicals has announced that designer Mark Adam Rampmeyer has joined the organization as the Costume Rental Manager. Mr. Rampmeyer's career has spanned more than 30 years in professional theater and he is very excited to pursue this new career opportunity. In this new position Mark will be responsible for curating the collection of over 250,000 pieces which can be used in Goodspeed productions and rented to professional theatres and universities across the country. "This is a brand- new direction for my career and for Goodspeed's collection," he stated, "I look forward to the first time I get to hang the work of an emerging designer next to that of some of the theater world's greatest talents like Gregg Barnes, Willa Kim, William Ivey Long and so many others currently in this incredible collection."

The Pearl Theatre Company continues its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with a new production of No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre, adapted from the French by Paul Bowles. Linda Ames Key, making her Pearl debut, directs this touchstone of French existentialism in its first Off-Broadway production in over 15 years. Tony Award-winning actors Christian Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher, Spamalot) and Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, Elf), Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), and Broadway stars Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show], The Little Mermaid) and Derek Klena (Wicked, Dogfight) are all scheduled to take part in the developmental reading.
