Celebrating 10 seasons of Roundabout Underground, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the sixth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Saheem Ali, Emily Feldman, Alex Lubischer, Don Nguyen, Ming Peiffer and Michael Thurber.

The New Group announces additional casting for productions coming up in the company's 2016-2017 Season.

Drama Desk and OBIE-winning Transport Group has announced that Tyne Daly (Master Class, Mothers and Sons, It Shoulda Been You, Rabbit Hole), Jason Danieley (The Visit, Chicago), Hannah Elless (Bright Star, Godspell), and Marc Kudisch (Hand to God, Finding Neverland) will join Richard Thomas ('The Americans,' You Can't Take it With You) in its concert of A Man of No Importance, which takes places Monday, December 5 at 8pm at the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street.

As everyone is getting ready to bid farewell to 2016 and welcome in 2017, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is preparing to host a very special New Year's Eve event to help mark the occasion.  Every few years, Way Off Broadway hosts a New Year's Eve event and this is one of those years!

Following a sold-out initial performance, a performance has been added on November 18th at 9:00pm for Sharon Abreu's show, The Climate Monologues, at Theatre Row, 410 W. 42nd Street in Manhattan as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival. The show runs 50 minutes.

When their work together leads to professional success but personal misery, they must decide whether or not to break their Shakespeare code and uncover how they really feel about each other.

Douglass Truth's critically acclaimed solo show, An Intimate Evening with Death, Herself returns to the United Solo Festival with an encore performance on Saturday, October 9th at 4:00 pm. The production has played to audiences nationwide with notable performances in California, Arizona, Colorado, and Massachusetts.

Chotto Desh, Akram Khan Company's first piece of dance theater for family audiences, makes its NY Premiere at The New Victory Theater from November 4-13, 2016. Adapted from Khan's much-loved, autobiographical production, DESH (2014 Bessie Award for Outstanding Production, 2012 Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production), Chotto Desh includes a mix of Khan's original choreography alongside new material.

Theatre for a New Audience and The New York Public Library will mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death with a viewing of a First Folio followed by a conversation among scholars and conservators on the Folio's innovative origins, its history as a wildly coveted (and carefully conserved) artifact, and its continued role in the robust afterlife of Shakespeare.
