The opening number 'Oh, the Thinks You Can Think' is a wonder to behold with the entire company superbly choreographed to let us know the crazy Dr. Seuss ride that awaits. And what a crazy ride it is following Horton the Elephant (David Mitrano) as he fights for the small creatures of Whoville living on a clover and the egg left behind by its mother. Horton believes, and this company proves, that a person's a person no matter how small. Trust me, the smallest actors onstage are having the time of their lives and so are their proud families in the audience.

HANAFUDI DENKI - THE DANCE OF DEATH is high-voltage Japanese underground musical based on Threepenny Opera, set in a funeral parlor in Tokyo during World War I. In it, a dead girl who loves a living boy adventures between two worlds - the dead and the living. The play's creator, Shuji Terayama once said, "Humans are incomplete cadavers", and this work is heavily tinged with this sentiment. It's a thought-provoking meditation on how we view death and life.

Ira Levin is best known for his suspenseful and creepy novels The Stepford Wives and Rosemary's Baby, both of which have been adapted into successful films. His 1978 play DEATHTRAP holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller in Broadway history, playing almost 1800 performances across a four-year run. Despite positive reviews and a healthy run, his 1973 play VERONICA'S ROOM just didn't capture audiences the way his other works did. Thrills, chills, and horror are hard to make affective in a staged play; however, Stages Repertory Theatre's production of VERONICA'S ROOM delivers these aspects in abundance.
