Phylicia Rashad
is the latest actress to be signed as a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, PEOPLE has reported exclusively.

"Jenny Craig confirms a new relationship with Phylicia Rashad," said a spokesperson for the company. "We look forward to sharing the details at a press conference in late January."

Earlier this week, Rashad, 60, was nominated for a Golden Globe for outstanding lead actress in miniseries for her role in Raisin in the Sun.

Endeared by television audiences for her role as Clair Huxtable on "The Cosby Show," Rashad won the 2004 Tony Award for best actress in a play and the 2004 Drama Desk Award for best actress, both for her portrayal of Lena in A Raisin in the Sun. Rashad recently made her directorial debut at the helm of The Seattle Repertory Theater's production of August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean. She was last seen on Broadway in the role of Big Mama in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. Rashad is a native of Houston, TX who graduated magna cum laude with a B.F.A. in theater from Howard University.
